Message from Governor Monica...

Fellow Optimists of Indiana South District, I’m looking forward to our 2nd Quarter District Conference. There will be two conducted in different locations on different dates. The first Super Zone conference will be conducted in Georgetown, Indiana on January 17, 2026 and the second Super Zone conference will be conducted at Plainfield, Indiana on January 24, 2026. There are several reasons to have super regional conferences at both northern and southern locations of the district. The first is because occasionally there is icy weather in January. Two locations at both ends of the district make it easier for our members to attend. The second reason is that with conferences closer to Clubs makes it easier for more of our members to attend.  These conferences are for YOU!

I strongly encourage every Lt. Governor, club president and secretary/treasurer to attend one or both meetings. It is also beneficial for any of our optimist members to attend as well. Our District Leadership Development Committee of Andy Tice, Bill Cherolis and Mike Novak, are preparing important training to be presented at the conferences. Another important benefit from attending the District Conference is we get to meet other Optimists from clubs all over the district and we are able to learn new ideas about how these clubs support their communities.
