Exceptional Friends at the Tri-County YMCA
October 5th 2024- The Optimist Exceptional Friends shared an event at the Riverwalk where we learned about old time school activities at the Alexander Schoolhouse. We also visited the Schaeffer Barn where we practiced farm chores including making feed for chickens, sawing logs, and carrying logs. After learning about our rich history we enjoyed snacks by the waterfall. We are grateful to Joe Rohleder and Joe Niehaus for sharing the interesting information about the school and farming activities. Special thanks also to the helpers from Holy Trinity School Builders Club.
Our Exceptional Friends and volunteers enjoyed lots of fun activities at the Tri-County YMCA, including parachute, basketball, human foosball, and a variety of games in their Activity Center. We are grateful to Christine who led the games for us, and to the Holy Trinity Builder's Club for their wonderful assistance with this program as well as Joe Rohleder and Joe Niehaus, the Holy Trinity School Builder's Club, and the Optimist volunteers!
