Optimist Club of Jasper High School Youth of the Month - April 2024

The High School Optimist Youth of the Month for March is Isabella Harmon.  She is the daughter of Dr. Toby and Dr. Sheila Harmon.  She is a Junior at Jasper High School.  She is very active at JHS.  She is the Student Council Class President.  She is in the Marching, Pep, Jazz, Concert, and Symphonic bands.  She is on the Jasper Mayor’s Youth Council and serves as its Communications Chair.  She is also a Bosco Youth Core Team Leader and is in the All State Honor Band.  In her free time, she enjoys playing the french horn, archery, axe-throwing, pickleball, singing at Precious Blood Church, and being involved with Saint John Bosco Youth Ministry. She hopes to study psychology at the University of Notre Dame, and go on to become a clinical or developmental psychologist.

The teacher that nominated Isabella stated that she “is consistently trying to share and inspire a positive attitude with her peers and teachers!  She’s constantly volunteering to help the school and community in a variety of ways.”
