Optimist Club of Jasper High School Youth of the Month - November 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The High School Optimist Youth of the Month for November is Joseph Ruiz.  He is the son of  Gloria Ruiz and Anebal Menjivar.  Joseph is a 9th Grader at Jasper High School.

Joseph is a member of the Performing Arts at JHS and someday hopes to be a Performing Arts Teacher.

Joseph was nominated for this recognition by three separate teachers.  Some of their comments included:  Joseph “demonstrates remarkable kindness, compassion, and a strong sense of integrity, making him an ideal candidate for Youth Optimist of the Month. His natural ability to help and uplift others ensures that every student feels seen, valued, and included. Joseph’s actions consistently reflect his commitment to making a positive impact, and his thoughtful approach to supporting those around him sets an inspiring example for his peers.” Joseph “always comes to class with a smile on his face and almost always has a fun fact of the day to tell. He is very kind and respectful to all of his classmates and always says "thank you".  Joseph “works so hard, is a good friend to others, loves the theatre group and anything related to shows/productions. Always respectful and kind.”
