Optimist Club of Jasper Middle School Youth of the Month - November 2023

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community. The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for November is Bailey Hawkins. Bailey is an 8th grader at Holy Trinity Catholic School. She is a member and current President of the Holy Trinity Buildere’s Club and is a Student Ambassador at Holy Trinity. She is a member of the Jasper Middle School cross country and track teams and plays in the JMS Band. She has participated in Solo & Ensemble contests, IBA All-Region Jr. High Band, the JHS Marching Band, and has been selected to the 2024 Jr. All State Band. She is also in Dubois County 4-H and Girl Scouts. Bailey enjoys time with friends and family, playing piano, reading and making art. The teacher that nominated Bailey stated that she is “the Builder’s Club President and she is an outstanding leader in our school. Bailey is an excellent student and a compassionate servant. She strives to see Christ in others in all that she does. Bailey is also in band and lives the characteristics of good sportsmanship and good Christian attitude both on the field (marching) and off. She is a role model for all.”
