Optimist Club of Jasper Middle School Youth of the Month - September 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for September is Vivienne Gunselman.  Vivienne is the daughter of Kimbra and Josh Gunselman.  She is an 8th Grader at Jasper Middle School.

Vivienne is the President of the JMS Student Council.  She has been a member of the Council all 3 years.  She is planning on participating in the JMS BPA (Business Professionals of America) club.  She is on the middle school volleyball team and is in the Performing Arts.  After school, Vivienne would like to work in sports media or become a pediatrician.  The teacher that nominated Vivienne stated that she “is very kind and helpful. She will ask questions when she needs help. She is a hard worker and a joy to have in class.”
