Optimist Exception Friends Visit Old Time Schoolhouse and Schaeffer Barn

September 7th, 2024

The Optimist Exceptional Friends shared an event at the Riverwalk where we learned about old time school activities at the Alexander Schoolhouse. We also visited the Schaeffer Barn where we practiced farm chores including making feed for chickens, sawing logs, and carrying logs. After learning about our rich history we enjoyed snacks by the waterfall. We are grateful to Joe Rohleder and Joe Niehaus for sharing the interesting information about the school and farming activities. Special thanks also to the helpers from Holy Trinity School Builders Club.

Special Thanks going out to Joe Rohleder and Joe Niehaus, the Holy Trinity School Builder's Club, and the Optimist volunteers!
