What’s Happening with Octagon

In March the Helping Hands committee used funds donated by the club to purchase enough food, snack and drinks to send home a tote with 24 students at JHS for the spring break.  On the Thursday before Spring Break Helping Hands committee members shopped and packed up 24 donated Walmart totes to send home with students.   Students identified by the office as having a need picked up totes on Friday and took them home over the break.  It is our hope that through this project we were able to support our peers with something healthy to eat over break, along with some healthy snacks, drinks and treats!

Helping hands committee members each wrote a note of encouragement to go in the totes.  Thank you to Walmart for donating the totes and thank you to the office staff, especially Tina Hilgediek for their assistance in distributing the bags to students.

Thank you to the club for the donation.

If club members are interested in donating to this very impactful program, we are accepting donations. Write a check to Jasper High School - put Octagon Helping Hands in the memo and mail to
