Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month - April  2025

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The High School Optimist Youth of the Month for April is Emma Small.  Emma is the daughter of Robin and Nathan Small. She is a Junior at Jasper High School.

Emma plays soccer for Jasper High School and travel soccer for FCE United. She enjoys traveling and doing anything outdoors. She is a member of the JHS Octagon Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Emma serves as a Wyldlife Leader. She was also elected to represent her peers as a member of the JHS Student Council.

Emma has a desire to be an Occupational Therapist, but is still trying to decide what college to attend.

The teacher that nominated Emma stated that she “is a kind, happy and compassionate individual.  She is always smiling and always willing to help classmates in both of the classes she has with me.  She truly brings out the best in others!    She is actively involved in the Octagon Club with both our recess buddy program and the reading day activity!  She is very deserving of this recognition.”
