Optimist Club of Jasper High School Youth of the Month - December 2023

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The High School Optimist Youth of the Month for December is Cali Beier.  Cali is the daughter of Melody Schurz.  She is a senior at Jasper High School.  She is an active member of the JHS FFA Chapter.  Cali plans to become an IBEW-Electrician after graduating from Jasper High School.

The teacher that nominated Cali stated that she is “an asset and is always willing to help out classmates, FFA members, fellow officers, and her advisors/teachers.  Cali specifically does a great job working with another student in Natural Resources.  Cali is a joy to be around and always brings out the best in me as a teacher.  I really appreciate how she has grown into this role throughout her four years of high school.”
