Optimist Club of Jasper High School Youth of the Month - October 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The High School Optimist Youth of the Month for October is Madison Mauck. Madison is the daughter of Sarah and Geoff Mauck. She is a sophomore at Jasper High School. Madison is in Varsity and Competition Cheer, a member of the JHS Swimming & Diving team, elected onto the Student Council, and participates in Octagon Club and FCA.

She also is a Volunteer at the Humane Society Clinic, a Coach at Hodgini Gymnastics, and the Middle School Dive Coach. Her plans for the future are to go to college to cheer and study veterinary medicine.

The teacher that nominated Madison stated that “Madison is always working her absolute hardest. She strives for perfection and is very careful to ask great questions and help others out. She pushes students around her to always do their best and to work hard. She will always offer a helping hand to me or anyone in need. She has the most beautiful smile, and it is contagious.”
