Optimist Club of Jasper Middle School Youth of the Month - October 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for October is Grant Messmer.  Grant is the son of Megan and Matt Messmer.  He is an 8th Grader at Jasper Middle School.

Grant is a member of the JMS Football and Track teams.  He also plays baseball.  In his free time, Grant enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and being outdoors.  The teacher that nominated Grant stated that he “is an outstanding young man!  He's a fantastic student and he's a fabulous role model  He was on both leader boards for AR points and AR book level . . . that is rare, especially for a male.  He works so hard and is so pleasant.  I sure wish we had more of him.”
