Optimist Club of Jasper Middle School Youth of the Month - August 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for August is Ann Murphy. Ann is the daughter of Lori and Brian Murphy. She is an 8th grader at Jasper Middle School. She is a member of the JMS Soccer Team and Choir. She also performs in the JMS Musicals.

Outside of school, she is active in Wyldlife and Bosco Youth Ministries. She plans to go to college to study Physical Therapy. The teacher that nominated Ann stated that “she is the model student. She is great at participation and is always actively engaged in class.”
