Optimist Club of Jasper High School Youth of the Month - August 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The High School Optimist Youth of the Month for August is Wren Mehringer. Wren is the daughter of Jocelyn and Bret Mehringer. She is a sophomore at Jasper High

School. She is on the JHS Swim Team. She is also very active by being involved in Key Club, Sofa Club, Earth Club, and Sadd. Outside of school, she enjoys camping, fishing, hanging out with friends, hiking, and shopping. She hopes to become a nurse anesthesiologist after high school.

The teacher that nominated Wren said “she is kind, honest, helpful. She will go out of her way to help a student in need. She is very respectful to everyone, but often gets overlooked because she is quiet.”
