Optimist Club of Jasper Middle School Youth of the Month - January 2024

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community. The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for January is Tanner Young. Tanner is the son of Rob and Dana Young. He is an 8th Grader at Jasper Middle School. Tanner is on the JMS Football and Basketball Teams. He also plays baseball. During his free time, Tanner enjoys riding his bike, hanging out with his friends, and playing PS5. Tanner’s goal is to graduate from Jasper High School with Academic Honors and then attend college.

The teacher that nominated Tanner stated that “Tanner works very hard and does what’s right. He’s patient with those around him, and he sets a high bar for behavior and success.”
