Optimist Club of Jasper Middle School Youth of the Month - March 2025

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for March is Maria Bombelli.  Maria is an 8th Grader at Jasper Middle School.  She is the daughter of Kara and Giorgio Bombelli.

Maria is a very active youth.  She is on the JMS and ISFC Soccer teams, JMS and JAWS Swim teams, and the JMS Track Team.  She is a member of and competes with the JMS BPA Team and serves on ROOS at JMS.  Maria is also active in Wyldlife and serves at St. Mary’s Church.  She is excited to go to high school to play soccer and swim.  She hopes to play soccer in college.

The person that nominated Maria stated that she “is phenomenal!  She sets the bar very high for work ethic and performance.  She is one of those kids that every single student respects and likes because of her many fabulous qualities.”  Maria has recently won awards in the Crane Science Fair and DAR American History Essay Contest.
