Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month - Sept. 2023

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program for students in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The Middle School Optimist Youth of the Month for September is Quinten Knies. Quinten is the son of Heather and Jason Knies. He is an 8th grader at JMS. He is a member of the JMS Cross Country team. He is a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys riding his four wheeler, playing outside with his father, and participating in Boy Scouts. After high school, he would like to go to college to become an architect. Quinten was nominated by two middle school teachers. One stated that he “volunteers quite often, always has his work finished and it is high-quality. Quinten is the leader of his ELA class!” Another teacher said that “he is constantly earning perfect scores and his classroom team is in first place. He is always willing to volunteer answers and lead discussions. He is a great student!” Congratulations, Quinten!
