Our official recognition as an Honor Club!

Congratulations to our leaders for the 2021-22 Optimist Year for our official recognition as an Honor Club!

The award was presented to us at the 3rd Quarter Indiana South District of Optimist International conference in Columbus IN on Saturday, April 22 by Immediate Past Governor (Governor for that year) Mike Novak. (Pictured below with Kent Reyling who accepted the award on behalf of the Club)

We appreciate everyone’s hard work attaining the Honor Club status for 2021-2022 year.

Here are the requirements for Honor Club designation.

Service: Complete three or more service projects during the Optimist year

Community: Recognize a Club member or local community individual Grow Club by Net of + 3 in membership

Conduct a Membership Recruitment/Drive (i.e. NOW) Program

Charitable: Appoint a Club Foundation Representative

Make a non-restricted contribution to the OIF or CCOF of at least $100

Education: Club President, Club President-Elect (or two Designees) attend District Convention (or two other District meetings/conferences)

Club Foundation Representative completes the CFR training on the Optimist International Learning Management System

Club President completes the Club President training on the Optimist International Learning Management System.

Club Secretary/Treasurer completes the Club S/T training on the Optimist International Learning Management System.

Administrative: Complete the Club Pride Report and Club Officer-Elect Form

Be current on District and OI Dues and Fees

Club Bylaws to be in compliance with Standard Club Bylaws.

Also,  congratulations to Melissa Eckert on your selection as the Lieutenant Governor for Zone 6 of the Indiana South District for the 2023-24 Optimists Year.  The voting was held also at the conference and you were chosen by the zone clubs represented.   It’s great to see another member of our Club serving in this important position (succeeding Stan Stewart, Lt. Gov. for this year).
