Optimist Club of Jasper High School Youth of the Month - January 2023

The Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month is a monthly recognition program forstudents in Jasper Middle and High Schools, recognizing students from each school, for their positive outlook and contribution to the community.

The High School Optimist Club of Jasper Youth of the Month for January is Isaac Lorey. Isaac is the son of Emily Phillips and Matt Lorey. He is a Sophomore at Jasper High School. Isaac is on the JHS Football and Track & Field teams. In the future, he would like to go to IU and enter the medical field. One of his nominating teachers said “He has the kindest heart. Always willing to help out others, whether it is his fellow students, or adults. He is always engaged and asking good thought-provoking questions. He always gives everything 100%. He is a great role model for others. Wants to help others, and wants others to be happy and positive. He never gossips or talks about others, and is a genuinely great guy!” Another teacher mentioned “He always comes in willing to help and ready to learn. The task in front of him might be challenging, but he still gives it a shot, even if he knows it might not be the best outcome.”
